SPTA EVENTS GUIDE
SPTA will promote and cover any or all of the following archery competitions/skills, if carried out under SPTA rules of safety as set out in its handbook, and the named organisers are current, paid up members of SPTA.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HOLD AN SPTA SHOOT LET US KNOW...
Some individual is going around stating that we charge £200 for helping put on and insuring a shoot.
THIS IS UNTRUE
All we ask is that those responsible for safety and organisation of the event become members for insurance purposes.
We charge ONLY for demos and specials (eg the horsearchery demo at Leeds Armouries) to cover usually high costs of travel/van hire etc.
We actually pay for hire of ground and help raise money for the host club wherever possible .The shoot must be open to all who comply with the Societies aims, classes and safety rules. (Numbers can be limited for safety/practical reasons ona 'first come first served basis)

Notify the secretary in writing, with details, and SPTA will promote the event in it's newsletters/distribute flyers etc. and do whatever possible to promote traditional archery skills and fun!

PLEASE NOTE: SPTA is not a commercial organisation, and any event held for personal gain will not be covered by it's insurance. All hired subcontrators must be named in notification to the Secretary.
